Located in Homer City, PA, just 10 minutes away from Indiana University of PA (IUP), our client is looking to add an experienced Industrial Electrician to their daylight crew. This full-time position will be responsible for the electrical upkeep, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of industrial equipment such as overhead cranes, melt furnaces, conveyors and motors. Knowledge of PLC based equipment is needed as well as a certain level of mechanical knowledge. Prior experience in a mining or heavy industrial setting is strongly desired.
As the Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for the following:
  • Troubleshooting and repair of electrically driven motors, pumps, conveyors and furnaces
  • General electrical repairs to the plant including lights, power supplies and breakers
  • Electrical repair and maintenance of electrically driven saws, grinders and machining equipment
  • Performing scheduled preventative maintenance
  • Replacement and adjustment of PLC controlled systems (no programming needed)
  • Assisting with mechanical repairs as needed
  • Qualifications:
  • Technical degree or certification in Electrical Studies
  • 3 years of electrical repair and maintenance in an industrial setting (mining, manufacturing or similar)
  • Ability to work with electrical systems up to 480V 3-phase
  • Strong schematic and blueprint reading abilities
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed as well as on-call for emergencies
  • This is a full-time position with typical working hours of M-F 7am-3pm. Typical weekly work hours range from 40-50. Pay is commensurate with experience and is in the $25-32 per hour range.     Don't Be Fooled

    The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
